Every Friday at our department, someone holds a short presentation about their research. This Friday, it was my turn.
I talked about the experiments that I have done, the pipeline we have created from experiment design to data analysis, and what I’m currently doing with the BCI systems’ calibration. I was pleased with the presentation, and we had a friendly discussion at the end of it. What surprised me was all the positive feedback I got afterward, and it made me so happy! After a while, I asked when I got praise, “what was it that you liked?” which made me even happier. Now I know what people appreciate about my presentation and what I should keep doing next time.
We should all be better at giving each other more detailed, positive feedback. It makes the day better!
